Ingredients: Rose Petals, Mixed Nuts, Raw Sugar, Chemicak Free Jaggery, Coconut, khus khus (no transfats, no hydrogenated fats, no palm oil)
Background: Modak is a type of Indian sweet dumpling that originated in Maharashtra. In India, Modak is best known for being the favourite mithai of Lord Ganesha, and it's distributed and consumed in honor of Lord Ganesha throughout the Ganapati Chaturthi festival. It is loved and consumed all over India. It's known as mothagam or kozhukattai in Tamil, modhaka or kadubu in Kannada, or kudumu in Telugu. At our store we have a number of twists on the traditional Modak and you can eat as much as Ganesha did because it’s dairy-free and much healthier for you!
